Crewel Needlework

Remnant of antique crewel needlework.  circa 1860.  Skilled workmanship and expertly executed using the satin stitch predominately throughout.  Wool yarn worked on linen.  Old 19th century frame in original crackle paint.  Size 22" x 27".
