19th Century Needlepoint Tapestry of Figures and Animals

This needlepoint piece of tapestry with figural images appears to be depicting 19th century Black environmental culture with images of women, children and various animals portraying activities in Black American daily life.  Circa 1870.  Wool yarns worked a cotton canvas.  Good condition.
