Note: Information from Nancy Groton that she included with her family coverlet. This coverlet was purchased from Nancy Groton, Niagara-on-the-Lake. Her father's name was Keith Lewis Hamer, born Jan. 24th, 1912 in Aurora, Ontario. Keith's father was Thomas A, Hamer. Keith's mother was Bertha Howard (wedding date October 6, 1895. From this family history we were able to find the original owner of the coverlet - Lavilla Margare. See genealogy research provided. The story through the family history is that Lavilla dyed the wool for the weaving of the coverlet woven in Stouffville, Ontario -- apparently for her wedding trousseau. The research for this family is very comprehensive.
