Bird-of-Paradise Tapestry

Exquisite Textile Tapestry depicting the Bird-of-Paradise on a branch with leaves and flowers.  Fancy scrolls complement the artistic balance to complete the piece.  Needlepoint worked with wool yarn on homespun linen.  Circa 1860.  

**  The bird seems to be wrapped in the colours of the American Flag creating an impression of patriotism.  Excellent condition.  Beautiful workmanship!!
