Boy Pin Cushion and Thread Holder

Unique and rare 19th Century Pin Cushion.  Bisque head with stuffed (uncured wool used as filling in quilts of this period) cotton velveteen body on a tin indented frame with points to hold the threads.  This sewing accessory was made into a 'make-do' during the last quarter of the 19th century.  The condition is as is at the time of creating the make-do.  The head is from an earlier period.  It looks like the hair was touched up with paint again when the Make-do was made.    Ontario Collection.  A very interesting piece in very good condition.
