Deer and Doe Hooked Rug

Large image of a deer and doe with scenic background using soft earthy tones of tans and blues.  A wide zig-zag border frames the strong figural presence for the focal point of these two proud animals.  Dating circa 1890 - 1900 and found in Western Ontario.  Size:  62" x 39".  Signed with initials H M.  Overall good condition.  The front of the rug depicts the doe on the  right side of the Deer.  On the reverse the doe is on the left.
