Deer Hooked Rug

Circa 1910.  wools and cottons.  This is a large hooked rug that has been mounted on a stretcher for hanging purposes.  A true work of textile art.  The subtle night background creates the imagery of two deer settling in the quiet of the forest for the evenings rest.  A unique portrayal of nature through textile art.  57" x 44"
