'Waldoboro technique' Hooked Mat

Cushion Sized hooked in Relief with fringe border.  Excellent condition.  Flowers and scrolls.  Circa 1920.  Relief work is raised with thick, tight, tension in the hooking design.  The famous  "Waldoboro technique" sculpting the surface of the design is reminiscent with this example.
